Facilities: There are few facilities on the pier itself although out at the end there is a fish cleaning station with water, and there are a couple of trash cans. There are no benches or bait cutting stations. Near the front of the pier are clean bathrooms and just a short distance away is a large snack bar.
Handicapped Facilities: The surface of the pier is concrete and well suited for the handicapped. On one side of the pier are railings approximately 40 inches high; on the outer side of the pier there are no railings but cut wooden blocks provides protection from the edge. There are handicapped restrooms near the front of the pier.
How To Get There: Ferries are available to the island from Tiburon, San Francisco and Vallejo, but most visitors use the Tiburon Ferry. The number of daily 12-minute ferry trips, and the departure times ,vary according to the time of the year but most summer days see 2-4 departures from Tiburon. Costs in 2018 were: adults $15.00; Seniors: $14.00; and children ages 6-12 $13.00.The costs include the admission to the state park. From Highway 101 take the Tiburon exit west and follow Tiburon Boulevard (State Highway 131) to Main Street (where there is a light). Turn right and the landing is half a block down the street on the left. Where to leave the car? Most parking in downtown Tiburon is of the short-term, 1-2 hour variety. The municipal parking lot is used by most island visitors. It sits just past the main business district to the right of Main Street. It is expensive with a $15 maximum all-day rate on weekdays and $10.00 for first three hours and $2.00 an hour after that on weekends.
